Sonja Rodden, Administrative Assistant
Sonja was raised in northwest Arkansas and attended University of Arkansas, majoring in accounting. She lives in Huntsville, Arkansas with her husband and their 3 children who are active in a variety of sports. In her free time she enjoys reading, crossword puzzles, movies, and family and friends.
Deb Bluma, Financial Manager
Deb was raised on a farm in Kansas and joined ONSC administrative staff as Financial Manager in December 2008. She previously worked for over 20 years for a CPA firm in Rogers, Arkansas before moving to Madison County. She resides on a farm near Huntsville with her husband. In her spare time she enjoys reading, organic gardening, hiking, and her flock of laying hens.
Toby Von Rembow, School Programs Coordinator
Toby assists the Education Director and acts as the administrative liaison for school-based programming. He joined ONSC staff as a field instructor in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental sciences with a focus in biology from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. As a naturalist, Toby considers himself a generalist and enjoys teaching any topic related to nature and conservation. Toby is certified in Wilderness First Aid and Basic Cave Rescue. He enjoys hiking and backpacking, fishing, ultimate frisbee, kayaking, caving, and almost any outdoor activity.
Jason L. Kindall, Education and Research Director

Jason oversees and develops environmental and field science programming at ONSC. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in natural sciences and wildlife biology from Arkansas Tech University. He also has completed a Master of Science in wildlife sciences and a Ph.D. candidacy from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he studied the habitat and spatial ecology of American Black Bears in eastern North Carolina and reintroduced elk in eastern Tennessee. Jason maintains his connection to the wildlife & ecology research arena; he has published research articles and reports in various peer-reviewed outlets and is a reviewer for the Journal of Wildlife Management. Jason lives in Goshen, Arkansas with his wife and daughter and enjoys caving, hiking and backpacking, playing mandolin and guitar, and nature photography in his spare time.
Rachel Harris, Fundraising Event Coordinator

Rachel Harris began work at ONSC in 2008 as the Special Events Coordinator. She is a native of Rogers, AR and enjoys being near family and friends. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Drury University. Rachel is passionate about bringing people together who are committed to science education and environmental stewardship. She and her husband, Alan, enjoy raising their twin sons, Grant and Taylor to appreciate the beauty Northwest Arkansas has to offer.
Bethany Stephens, Executive Director

Beth Stephens joined the Ozark Natural Science Center as executive director in November 2009. She grew up backpacking and hiking in the Pacific Northwest and throughout Arkansas and believes strongly that outside time and learning about the natural world are key ingredients for fantastic, ethical, curious kids. She lives with her husband, Fred and daughter, Sophie in historic downtown Rogers, and they enjoy family adventures such as biking the Katy Trail. Beth completed undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is active with the Rogers Noon Rotary club and serves on the steering committee of NWA Emerging Leaders. In her spare time, she enjoys leading a Girl Scout troop, gardening and growing herbs, lots of experimental cooking as well as hiking, camping, canoeing and biking with her family.
