Dawn Cannon

Originally from Louisianna, Dawn grew up in the Ozarks. Dawn joined the ONSC team as a Teacher Naturalist in January 2011. Her academic background is in the geosciences at the University of Arkansas. Previously, she led cave tours for the United States Forest Service at Blanchard Springs Caverns in Arkansas and as a geologic technician for a private firm in Colorado. Dawn has also led backpacking trips for young women in the Ozarks and through these experiences she found her love of teaching the natural sciences in a non-traditional setting. In her spare time Dawn is an avid caver and assists with various cave hydrology research projects at the U of A.
